New documentary on Daniel O’Connell to air on RTÉ

Documentary celebrates the life and legacy of Ireland’s Liberator on the 250th anniversary of his birth. Features expert contributions from UCC CACSSS academics including Professor Claire Connolly, Dr Jay Roszman, and Dr Neil Buttimer. Narrated by Domhnall Gleeson, the documentary is a Create One production in association with University College Cork, the University of Notre Dame and RTÉ.

University College Cork to host major radio conference

A landmark conference to commemorate 100 years of Irish radio will be held at University College Cork (UCC) in January. It will explore the legacy, culture, and future of radio in Ireland. The conference is convened by Dr Finola Doyle O’Neill, UCC School of History, in partnership with Coimisiún na Meán, supported by RTÉ and the Independent Broadcasters of Ireland (IBI).
