University College Cork joins global coalition for Ukrainian Studies

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska and Minister James Lawless. UCC CACSSS researcher Dr Tatiana Vagramenko and CACSSS Vice Head of College for Research and Innovation Professor James Kapaló were part of the UCC delegation. CACSSS Schools, including the School of History and the School of Society, Politics and Ethics, are driving ambitious plans to develop both teaching and research on Ukraine's past and present.

UCC celebrates Zero Project Award for UCC PhD student Eoin Nash and Suisha Inclusive Arts

UCC PhD student Eoin Nash and Suisha Inclusive Arts have received a Zero Project Award, recognising their contribution to advancing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Eoin’s doctoral research, based in UCC’s School of Film, Music and Theatre and School of Applied Social Studies, explores how art, disability, practice and rights intersect. Major award announced on International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Landmark portraits of Munster women unveiled as part of Accenture’s Women on Walls at University College Cork

New contemporary portraits celebrating pioneering women have been unveiled at University College Cork. The portraits include Dr Naomi Masheti, psychologist, three-time UCC Psychology graduate and Programme Director of the Cork Migrant Centre.
